What is a performance salon?
Two directors invite scientists, artists and citizens and chefs to actively participate in a creative process: a performance salon. This is not simply a performance, but it consists of osmosis of artists, scientists and people.
In a friendly environment they will have the opportunity to taste the chef’s creations while listening to the interventions of our special guests: Alexander Mistriotis (artist / philosopher) Athanasios Alexandridis (psychoanalyst / writer) and artistic “interventions” of Annika Lewis, Helene Kvint , Rosa Prodromou, Jens Mønsted, Pantelis Makkas (visual artist), etc.
According to recent research by UNESCO («The World Happiness Report”) Danes are among the most happy people on the planet, while the Greeks are the most unhappy. What does the Danes so happy? And are the Greeks really unhappy?
In HappinessUnlimited two provocative directors- Elli Papakonstantinou, director and Artistic Director of ODC Ensemble / Βυρσοδεψείο (GR) and Annika B. Lewis, Artistic Director οf Kassandra Production (DK) – cooperate and challenge their audience to explore happiness as meaning, feeling, objective existence and ultimately as a narrative.
This creative process will end with a performance that will take place in Denmark in 2018 with the participation of Greek and Danish artists titled «Happiness Unltd”. Open dialogue with citizens from both countries inspires, informs and influences our final performance. Audience participation and co-creation is important.
